Alexa & Aaron :: Wedding

The first wedding of the year was kicked off with a very non-routine beginning…

Alexa and Aaron tied the knot at the Burr Homestead in Fairfield, Connecticut.  It is a charming mansion with unique architecture, gorgeous grounds, and a cozy “I’m-home-at-my-mansion” feel to it.  They both decided upon a private first look, which is the way to go in my book.  After a photo tour of the grounds on the unseasonably warm Valentine’s Day, the ceremony was underway.  As dinner was being served, there was a slight snafu.. so to say.. which resulted in a visit from the Fairfield fire department.  Alexa and Aaron handled the interruption with practiced grace, treating it as a slight amusement instead of a huge catastrophe.  This set the tone for the guests, who also handled it in stride.  Before we knew it, the party was back on, crisis averted, and time to celebrate.  It was quite the night, and overall, despite the threat- a wonderful success.
