Because he is such a good sport in his frog prince suit!!

In six words or less. I’m accepting the challenge from fellow photographer and llbff crista acosta.
When you try to sum up your life in six words or less.. it is really something to think about. After giving it a few minutes to sink in, this is what I came up with:
Making it up as I go.
I think this fits my life story because no matter how much planning I do or thinking as to what I think my life should look like… it inevitably never ends up that way. It is great to have plans and goals, but even better to be flexible. When things don’t go as planned, you can’t let it get you down or become defeated. You need to roll with the punches. I think that I have learned how to do that and make it up as I go, so to say.
So what is your life story? Take the challenge. Wendi, Tania, anyone!!
Heres what you do:
1. Write a six-word memoir.
2. Post it to your blog, maybe with a pic.
3. Link to the person who tagged you
4. Tag a few folks
5. Leave a comment for them with an invite to play.
On Friday, I had the pleasure of photographing this little bundle of cuteness! Mom wanted a girly shoot so I got to pick up all these fun little accessories! And I am in loove with these photos!

When Tania told me that the wedding for Saturday was going to be at Lily Lake I did a “squeee!!!” for joy. I love Lily Lake since it happens to be the site of mine and Joe’s wedding reception. It was absolutely great going back.
But onto more current nuptuials…
So, one of the reasons I love shooting with Tania, is that I usually get to do the fun formals with the guys. I absolutely loooved the formals I shot with this group of guys. They were so much fun. And the sky… ooooh the sky.

They got married down by the willow tree on the lake. It was absolutely picturesque. (It also happens to be the exact location that Wendi got married at almost four years ago!)

How cute was this bride!

Their first dance song was “Just the way you are…” by Billy Joel. Immediately following the dance, the groom’s uncle sat the couple down on the dance floor and showed them a video clip of Billy Joel personally wishing them a congratulations! It was wild.

Like I mentioned in the previous post… Wendi and I shot a trash the dress for Nikki on Sunday. We were going for a more rural look for Nikki. We started our fun at Fairfield Hills… what an amazing place. If you have never been there.. go! It is an old mental health facility that has been shut down, but left open as more or less of a park. It has some amazing brick buildings with boarded up windows, beautiful scenery and greenery, peeling paint, and rusty railings. PERFECT for a trash the dress session. We found a field with some cool hay bales (which I of course had to climb!) right next to Fairfield Hills. And then we headed to an airfield in Roxbury to enjoy the gorgeous sunset and lighting.
I have to say that we had a lot of fun and got some great photos. If you are interested in doing a trash the dress…. let me know!!!!!!
EDIT NOTE: I have to go back to the regular sized photos for now. I am noticing some pixilating going on when I resize. Large size is too big.. medium is too small. I need the inbetween size!!

While out and about shooting a trash the dress for Nikki (photos to be posted very soon…:) Wendi got this shot of me at work. We are at a small airfield in Roxbury. There was just amazing scenery along with a gorgeous sunset. The photos are beautiful!!

Last week I shot a wedding with Tania Sones at Jaycees Boathouse in Hartford. The location almost had to be changed due to flooding at the boathouse. The water was actually in the parking lot. Luckily.. the flooding was in an area that didn’t affect the boathouse itself or the ceremony location just outside. The couple got to enjoy a gorgeous day for their wedding and despite the threat of flooding and showers.. everything worked out beautifully.
I mean.. look at those skies!!

What do you think?
Look at the nice big photo!! Couldn’t do that before!!

I’m excited to show everyone my new logo! Be watching for the unveiling of my new website next week too!
Fun stuff.

I went to Rhode Island on Tuesday to visit with my uncle and his girlfriend’s family… we had a fun day of go-cart, mini-golf (i got two hole-in-ones!!!), lunch, and a nice visit to Watch Hill. Even though the sky would randomly burst open with a downpour.. it was a good day.
At Watch Hill… there is this great old carousel. Had to get some shot of the kids on this…
