Yesterday Wendi and I had an amazing time with an amazing couple: Kagin and Mike. The overcast skys were a little threatening.. but they waited until we were well done to do their thing! Just look at them! They’re are so in love!

Not much time to do much in the way of vaca this year since I am soo busy!
But we managed to sneak out for a three day trip to Burlington, Vermont. It was so nice to just have some uninterrupted time to hang out with each other. Even though it rained the majority of the time… clearing up in time for us to go home… we had a great time!
We went out to a local seafood restaurant on Thursday night. While we were waiting for our table, we took a walk down to the pier. These were taken at sunset, just minutes before the sky opened up with a pretty intense storm.
I would have been petrified to be in this boat!!!!!!

Here is Joe reee-laxin’ …

to July 12th. Beautiful day. Beautiful bride. All around… another great wedding shot with Tania Sones.

I think the pictures speak for themselves!!

And I saved the best for last!!!
Angelo… say “eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!”

Well. Our engagement session at Kent Falls was one to remember. Immediately upon getting out of the car we were introduced to the residents of Kent Falls:
Millions and millions (I may not be exaggerating here…) of tiny gnats.
I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Not that I’ve never seen swarms of gnats… but it was more like a cloud over the entire park. I even asked a random person walking by if we could borrow her bug spray for a little help. After I doused Tara, Jon, Wendi, and myself… we found all of two seconds of relief. Crazy.
But Tara and Jon were serious troopers. They held the pose and did what they had to do… holding the swatting until we snapped the shutter. They did great!

..on Sam and Mike. Good times tonight doing a few quick photos of these two guys. It’s really cool to do something different every once in a while!!

Jaime says casual laid back affair. Fast forward to the reception date… Wendi and I arrive at the Waveny House and whoa… there is nothing casual about the Waveny House. It is absolutely amazing. Gorgeous. With the beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon weather, it was perfect. They did a great job of planning this “casual” reception.

I love this little guy. I really do. I especially like his boldly emerging personality. I love his laugh and the little noises and grunts he makes when he tries to talk. I love how he says “ball” like an accented Englishman. I love how he sneaks the dog a piece of food when he thinks I’m not looking. And I really love how when you tell him no.. he gets very upset and comes running to you falling down in a heap in your arms crying, only to make a quick recovery once he has gotten his consoling.
Final thought: babies are cute and everything, but toddlers are absolutely lovable.

On Friday, Wendi and I had a chance to do an engagement shoot for Jenn and Miguel. What a fun couple!! We had a great time walking around Elizabeth Park (also where their wedding will be!!:) and catching some great moments!! We even witnessed an “engagement preparation.” In the big, green, leaf covered, gazebo.. a guy was waiting in there with a guitar and a bench which spelled out “Marry Me” in flowers. The proposal was to happen at 8… we were on the other side of the park at that time though. We all hoped she was going to say “yes!” But, alas, we will never know…
Here is a preview of a few of my favorites…

On Sunday, I shot my first Greek wedding with Tania Sones. What a lively group!!
My favorite part of the wedding was the children. (See my last post.) I loved the fun they brought to everything!!
My other fav of the day was the rock pier. What an awesome place for photos!! Absolutely perfect.

Texture inspiration from Tania!!
