Congrats Grad!!!

Filed under: Christa Bosco Photography, Events, Personal — christabosco @ 11:30 pm

I had a great time as Kristen’s personal stalker on her grad day! I even snuck into the VIP “grad’s only” section to ensure that I “get the shot!” lol. I didn’t realize this until some guy, on the other side of the fence, asked me if I could get him in. I said “What do you mean, just go through the entrance!” When he said, “But I don’t have a pass,” I looked over at the entrance and sure enough, there were a couple of guards checking people’s passes! Needless to say, I couldn’t get the guy in and I tried to “lay low.” When the other photographers (the real hired photographers) came up and asked who I was working for.. I just told them “Don’t worry, I won’t get in your way!”

It worked! You know what the key was boys and girls?  Confidence.  In one of my many photography books, it talked about being confident and owning the situation.  (It was actually giving tips on getting backstage at concerts and high profile events, but I thought I would try it out low key first before I try to sneak into the MTV Movie Awards or something.)

My favorites were the candid expressions that Kristen had as she took in her day.

But she was definitely up for some posed shots too!! :)

It was pretty funny too! I had a bunch of random people posing for me bc they thought I was the offical photographer for the event. Instead of explaining to them that I was the offical papparzzi for one of my friends.. I just played along! It was too tempting not to!

So, here’s to Brian! Wherever he might be!

Can I come live with you?

Filed under: Christa Bosco Photography, Engagement — christabosco @ 1:15 pm

Shooting a mini-engagement shoot for Amy and Brett (along with Riley) was awesome. They have the sweetest backyard ever which was aaaaamaaazing for photos. With the lake and hills in the background, and of course their private beach and dock… it was gorgeous. There were just enough “fair-weather” clouds in the sky to give us some intermittent shade and some beautiful lighting. The whole surrounding area is absolutely picturesque.

So… Amy and Brett… can I come live you??? :) lol

I love these kids.  I just really enjoy shooting them.  Max is so full of life and energy, you can’t help  but get swept up into it.  And Sawyer with those big blue eyes…. I’m just drawn to them!  We had so much fun playing at the park and the beach!  Can’t wait for our next sesssion! :)

My photos on a billboard!!! :)

Filed under: Christa Bosco Photography, Commercial — christabosco @ 12:59 am

Do you know how cool it is to see your work on a billboard? Well, let me tell you… it is really awesome and a little surreal!!! After staring at the photos for so long on my computer screen, it is quite an experience to see it 10 feet tall on a billboard.

There are currently two billboards with my photos: one is in North Haven on Washington Ave. (that is the one below) and the second is in Clinton.

Niiiice.

Christine & Kevin

After a disappointing rain out during the Daffodil Festival at Hubbard Park… we were able to get a gorgeous day this Wednesday.  Hubbard Park looked amazing and set a beatiful backdrop for the shots.

Christine and Kevin were worked hard, but I’d say it paid off! LOL!

Here is a preview of our shoot! :)

How cute are these kids?  Princess Julia and little boy Nathan.  We had such an amazing yard to “play” in.. how could we not get such beautiful shots!!  My photogenic cousins… Charlie and Abbie were also there for some fun, so we of course got some shots of them too!! J

Special thanks to my little sis, Carah, for helping with this awesome shoot!!

Too many favorites!!!!

My little Joey is all grown up!!

Filed under: Personal — christabosco @ 1:00 pm

I am proud to say that Joe is officially a master’s degree graduate from Plymouth State’s MBA program!!! It was a great excuse to go up to New Hampshire this weekend. Unfortunately, I had a really yucky sinus infection so I couldn’t enjoy all the festivities as much as I would have liked. But.. I tried to be a trooper for my hard-working hubby! :)

Here’s our weekend in photos:

It was Joe’s weekend to contemplate life and the journey…

To stop and really appreciate the wild turkeys.

And to observe the beaten path. (or something like that)

and to reminisce about our time as college students… (and the fateful night of our walk into the pitch black Blair Bridge on that snowy night.. lol)

and to think about what we have become (you- the “master” of awesomeness)

but we will always remember our time at Plymouth State,

in all of it’s memories and nostalgia,

and let us close with the words of the great Robert Frost (our fellow Plymouth State homeboy)

let us remember in life… to take “the road less traveled…”

congrats Joe!!! :)

Loving this…

I shot another great wedding with Tania Sones last weekend. We had some great backdrops… from the beautiful Christ Church in New Haven to the glistening waters and a sunset on Long Island Sound.

Sweetness.
